Largest gathering of rabbis ever in Vermont (Burlington)

Rabbi Raskin’s father, Rabbi Yehuda Lieb Raskin, may he rest in peace,
was the Chief Chabad Rabbi of Morocco, up to a '04.

He enjoyed a personal relationship with the King of Morocco, and more recently his son, the King of Morocco.

Rabbi Raskin’s mother Mrs. Raisel Raskin, continues to run the Yeshiva and Chabad school system in Morocco.

Rabbi Raskin’s parents, Rabbi Yehuda Lieb and Mrs. Raisel Raskin were among the first shluchim (emmisaries) of
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, and thus were sent by him to Morocco in 1959;

Rabbi Yitzchok and Zeesy Raskin were the Rebbe’s shluchim to Vermont (Burlington)
and were sent here by him over 20 years ago.
